“Beautiful relaxing and recommendation for the local butcher all-round the corner was spot on”
The location is gorgeous, and everyone seemed content and relaxed. The playroom needs an upgrade—it was very rundown, the pool table was missing a white ball, the pool sticks were broken, the ice‑hockey score table was disconnected and looked tired, and the table‑tennis set was smashed. I had to ask the reception for ping‑pong balls, which were fine, but on holidays I just want to chill, not have to request items that should be available. If you advertise a playroom, make sure everything works and it’s clean and presentable.
The location is great, and the cabin was clean and tidy. Nothing else to note.

The self‑contained units are fully equipped and very comfortable, and walking to the river, shops, and cafés is easy—no car needed if you prefer. The only downside was a Gardner working outside our unit before 7 am, banging and scraping and waking everyone up.

The staff were honest, the new management seemed a bit overwhelmed, and the cabin and location were good. The only problem was that the internet didn’t work.
