We stopped in Sautens on our way to Tuscany and were greeted warmly by Jolanta and Friedrich, who handed us a welcome drink—an ice‑cold beer was perfect. The house sits in a quiet cul‑de‑sac, and from the little terrace you can see the mountains. The studio is spotless, tastefully decorated in alpine style, with TV and WiFi. They even tipped us to the Rochusstüberl restaurant. On Sunday, before we left, Friedrich cooked breakfast at 6 a.m.
