The room was fine, but breakfast fell short of my expectations—very modest with nothing decent to eat.

The hotel sits conveniently in central Gilgit, close to the bus station and airport, in a valley surrounded by mountains that could use better litter control. The staff were lovely and did everything they could to help. There’s a rooftop restaurant and a gym, and the food was excellent. The rooms were very spacious, very clean, and the reception helped us plan trips while speaking good English. An on‑site car hire company is available. It offers good value for a higher‑range hotel and comes highly recommended. The staff were extremely helpful, the place very clean, and the restaurant good.

The room was comfortable and the location convenient, but I was tricked by a receptionist at the front desk into taking an overpriced car‑and‑driver tour around Gilgit. He claimed the hotel approved it, but he seemed to have a personal connection with the driver. This was a bad experience after a month in Pakistan where I’d mostly met friendly, hospitable people. Before arriving in Gilgit, I stayed at Avari Express in Skardu, which was an entirely pleasant stay.

The staff were exceptionally friendly, the shower in the bathroom was amazing, and the bedroom had tea and coffee making facilities. The view over Gilgit was great! However, there were too many power cuts, and our room’s door was locked to the next room, so we could hear the guests there.
