Hotel Pacaraima

“A estadia foi agradável e satisfatória.”

The room was clean, spacious, well‑arranged, had good air‑conditioning, and the front desk service was solid. The location was quiet, accessible, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast could be better organized and served; I think the ambience of the breakfast area could be improved and a more generous menu of meals and drinks added.

“Horrível. Não se hospede.”

I was treated with disrespect in countless ways, so I cannot recommend this place. I never felt safe here. The experience was deeply disappointing. The worst incident happened at night when the receptionist spoke to me in an extremely rude manner. After leaving the hotel to buy food, I returned and sat on the bench outside the hotel. At that moment, I was told, “the hotel isn’t Mother Joana’s house” and that she wouldn’t be opening the door “all the time” because she wanted to sleep during her shift. The approach was deeply embarrassing. I asked if she was preventing me from entering and leaving the hotel freely, since guest circulation cannot be restricted for an employee’s convenience. I understand the need for security measures to protect guests and property, but they cannot justify limiting freedom of movement or neglecting job duties. The hostile and disrespectful treatment caused great embarrassment. I sincerely hope this was not motivated by any form of discrimination. Still, the way I was approached raises concerns and deserves investigation. Other incidents reinforced the impression of the staff’s lack of preparation. At check‑in, I was asked about payment even though the reservation was already paid through Booking. In over ten years using the platform in various countries, I had never encountered a similar situation. The same happened at check‑out, when they tried to charge me again for a room that had already been paid for. There was also an issue with breakfast. Booking’s page states the service is served until 9:30 am, yet I arrived at the restaurant at 9:10 am and the table had already been removed.

“Confortável.”

The staff were very friendly, the breakfast was varied, tasty, and nicely presented, the bed was comfortable, and the location was good, giving me an 8.0/10, but the bathroom cleanliness was lacking. The room was reasonably clean, although there was a problem with my reservation and the housekeeping was rushed.
