The location was right next to the castle with a lovely garden, the room was large, there was free parking outside, and the whirlpool was good. The whole décor was cheap fake vintage with many ugly and broken details; photos looked fine but reality was embarrassing. Even the lighting in the restaurant and bathroom was dull, more like disco light. The carpet was muffled. The shower was only in the bathtub. The wellness area was tiny, with only four chairs and no loungers. The indoor pool was tiny, more of a kids’ pool, at most 7 m long. Dinner was acceptable in taste but terribly organized: more than an hour passed between my starter and main course, and only after repeated requests. Breakfast was below average: everything was dull, cheap, and packaged.

Breakfast was classic hotel fare, a bit dull but tasty. The setting was beautiful with Hluboká Castle and the park, and the town was pleasant and quiet. Lunch was typical Czech, boring and of rather poor quality; there were no vegetables with the main dish, so we had to order an extra “ERB” salad that came with egg and chicken—things we didn’t need because we wanted vegetables. The fish was terribly overcooked and tasteless, the spätzle‑style dumplings were too soft and undersalted, and the only decent option was the kids’ meal—breaded chicken with fries. Dinner was also typical Czech, boring and of low quality; the main course lacked vegetables, so we ordered the ERB salad again, but the egg and chicken were unnecessary for us. The fish was overcooked and bland, the spätzle dumplings were too soft and unsalted, and the only decent dish was the kids’ meal—breaded chicken with fries.

The location was great, the room was spotless, the staff were friendly, and the dinner and breakfast were very good.

The hotel sits right next to the castle, and the staff were friendly; the evening atmosphere was lovely. Nothing to complain about.
