The pool, jacuzzi, and sauna stay open until 23:00, and the place is close to the town center, but the air conditioning only works on cold and can’t be turned off.

The room and bathroom were spacious, but the cleaning left a lot to be desired. When I opened the window and accidentally knocked something, the hotel staff walked past without assessing the situation or taking responsibility. I also got confused about the breakfast price, repeated the amount, and the staff didn’t confirm it. They claim to speak Spanish, and I know they understand it, but they act clueless when it matters.

The staff were attentive, yet the bathtub was hard to reach.

The indoor pool was pleasant, the massage was top quality, the location was decent, the staff were kind, and the air‑conditioning worked well. Still, for a 4‑star hotel charging almost €200 a night, you expect a different vibe than a 90s‑era Ibis or Mercure. The breakfast room was far from 4‑star standards, with impersonal, dated décor that made it uninviting. The outdoor areas were under‑used, and the room supplies were no better than Dove, especially in a region that values organic, local products. Plus, a busy street behind the hotel makes it noisy quickly. Overall, it’s okay, but it doesn’t feel premium.

The hotel is beautiful and perfectly located just steps from Sarlat’s medieval city. The staff were attentive and caring, and the water‑features were a nice bonus after exploring the area. The buffet breakfast was of high quality. The only drawback was the bedding: the mattress felt too firm for our taste. Everything else was really great.
