Eh, first hotel on the trip to Sri Lanka. At first it was nice, but then I realized the reality (and especially compared the services/position/price with other hotels seen). Technically, the great breakfast had to be taken at a nearby paid venue. Overall, I still found it fascinating to wander along the busy main road that runs through the town and stop for a few things in the tiny local shops. The structure is run by a SuperBoss who has several tourism-related activities. The feeling was constantly that I was in the middle of confusion; everything could be debated. The willingness to do something for you and the interest always overlapped, leaving me with an unpleasant feeling (never felt before in this country where people are exquisite). A few scurvy things in the bathroom (they are there, nature is assertive there, but elsewhere I haven't had them). The nearby beach was quite unpleasant (very hot, little shade, few services and a bit of dirt); getting there involved a short but intense trip in the style of 1970s Calcutta streets. In fact, even though we chose the hotel to spend a few days by room/mar, we arranged to move a few km for both the beach and to go out at night. Mostly I realized I spent a lot more (three times) than I would have in other hotels of the same level but better positioned (visited and touched with hand).

The value for money is good, and it's close to the beach.

The hotel sits right on the beach and the owner really tries to think ahead for guests; after I mistakenly booked a room without air‑conditioning, they promptly arranged a change on the spot, and the location is fairly convenient to the city centre. The downside is that the rooms are too small for four people, leaving nowhere decent to store luggage – I’d only recommend it for two – and the temple next door creates a lot of early‑morning noise.

The hotel is close to the main beach, but the showers and Wi‑Fi don't work well. A temple nearby can wake you up very early because of prayers. The owner tried to charge us extra money, and I didn't feel respected.
