The location was good and the host gave solid advice about Adam's Peak trail, including the best wake‑up times. The bed was very hard, and the cafeteria charged high prices for basic food items and simple bottled drinks.

Everything was perfect; the hosts were super nice, attentive, and very helpful, offering great advice and cooking delicious meals 😍 The room was super comfortable with a magnificent view, and overall the view from the property was just splendid! I strongly recommend staying here if you’re in the area 😍

We had a great time staying at Water Side Residency, feeling comfortable and happy with the hot water shower and amazing view from our room! The place was very clean and hygienic. We’d love to return next year.

“Nice stay for an extra cost”

We booked two identical standard rooms but they turned out very different upon arrival. One was modern, clean, and fine, while the second was dark village‑style, had a strong odor from a nearby shared toilet, and the surrounding area was still under construction. The owner was friendly and offered an upgrade for a reasonable extra fee, which we accepted, but I still would have preferred the room I originally booked and the one my wife chose. Aside from that, we had no other issues. The cabin was very comfortable with a nice view of the stream below, and the restaurant upstairs was good and convenient. One room had a strong smell from a nearby shared toilet, so we paid extra to upgrade to a cabin. Wi‑Fi didn’t reach that cabin, and electricity was cut off for the entire evening, though that’s a common issue in Sri Lanka and the owner couldn’t do much about it.
