Pleasant Hill Motel

“We were disappointed and won’t be booking here again.”

The local diner was good but closed for two of our three days. The location worked for us. The TV didn’t work. Limited amenities: soap, tissues, shampoo, conditioner. There was a lack of counter space in the bathroom, limited towels, and no windows.

The only perk was the cheap rate, but the room was so uncomfortable that it smelled bad and had cockroaches on the walls, so we never checked in and booked elsewhere instead.

The staff were helpful and the service was solid.

“Unpleasant Hill to be avoided”

We only liked the convenient location, but after a 13‑hour drive the staff rudely told us “we have no rooms available” even though I had a reservation and spoke English well; the air conditioning was loud, the bathroom was filthy with a sink far from the wall, a shower full of hair and grime, a dirty curtain, and a grimy base; we had to shower in flip‑flops and sleep in our clothes; we stayed only because we had already driven so many hours, and this is the worst place we’ve ever stayed.

“It was OK, but I probably would not choose it again.”

The staff were friendly and efficient, and checking in and out was very convenient; the diner next door was great; however, a lamp in the room was broken, the tile floors were a bit dirty, and the window AC unit was very close to the bed and noisy.
