The hotel matched the purpose of my trip and the adjacent hot spring facility was a definite plus, but the main highway nearby meant I could hear truck traffic even at night, and the train station was close enough that the noise was hard to ignore unless you’re not bothered by it; on top of that, only the smoking rooms were available, so I had to book one, and it smelled far worse of smoke than the other smoking rooms.
