Check‑in was so late that I had to leave my luggage at the property for 560¥ each, and I found a lot of hair left by previous guests in the bathroom and on the floor; when I tried to pay with my credit card at the checkout machine it didn’t work, so a very unfriendly, non‑English speaking staff member had to help me, and I ended up being charged extra fees that weren’t mentioned beforehand.

Everything was clean, the rooms were spacious, and they were some of the cheapest in the Gifu region. Nothing negative.

The Love‑Bo rooms impressed with their huge beds, spacious bathrooms and roomy layout, plus a generous room‑service menu; I loved being able to choose Japanese or Western breakfast and the desserts were delicious, while the quiet, comfortable interior added to the experience, and the fact that you can step out if you wish is a nice bonus. The only drawback was that the room we stayed in lacked a fridge, so it’s worth asking about that in advance; otherwise nothing else to mention.
