The chalet is gorgeous and totally rustic, just how all the houses in São Thomé should be. Ana is incredibly friendly and welcoming.
Really cool spot, super comfy. I liked it a lot. Everything was perfect, just great.
“Não vale o custo”
The bed was comfy and the TV and internet worked fine. But the sheets were dirty with blood stains, and the manager wasn’t at the lodge. We had trouble checking out—she wasn’t available at 8 am even though we sent messages, because she’d worked a volunteer shift the day before and couldn’t help.

The host was amazing—attentive and polite. The place is close to everything; we parked our car right outside the chalet and walked everywhere, only taking the car back when we left. The hot shower was a lifesaver on those chilly days. I have nothing to complain about and will definitely come back, recommending it to all my friends who want to visit São Thomé.

But the hospitality was lacking; we only saw the manager at check‑in and ended up in a room next to the kids’ play area, so no privacy with the kids shouting right next to us. The manager didn’t respond to messages, and after checkout we weren’t even asked how we were. The room was tiny and had no TV, so we couldn’t relax after a long day on the street.
