The staff and the owner’s family were very friendly and even taught me some Balinese, making for a warm stay; the pool is shared and located in the middle, so if you’re sensitive to noise you should be careful—though I didn’t mind it.

I liked how spacious the room was and the spot was right near Ubud’s center but off the main road. The staff were on top of things, yet over our 5‑night stay the room was only cleaned once—only when we asked—and after that nothing changed. Towels were swapped just once, also at our request. It could be great if they cleaned rooms, stairs and common areas more regularly.

What made this trip unforgettable was the family living behind the property; they’re the kindest people I’ve ever met, and we’d chat for hours each evening. The rooms are simple but adequate if you just need a bed and a shower. The whole place stays spotless and has everything you might need, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I’d suggest staying on the upper floor because the lower‑floor rooms sit right by the pool and lack privacy.
