The host was very warm and homely, offered dinner without being asked after I finished hiking Babia Gora, and then gave me two jars of homemade fruit jam as a gift—those fruits are now in my Boston pantry for Thanksgiving. The Beskidy villagers were lovely; thanks to everyone. The distances were a bit inconvenient, so for my next trip to Beskidy I’ll definitely drive to stay more aligned with my plans.

We were two adults and a child, yet we only received one large towel and two small ones, and the towels already showed signs of heavy use.

The beds in room 6 were comfortable, but the bathroom was under major renovation: the sink didn’t work and we had to force water through the valve, the shower was awful, the bathroom wasn’t very clean, and the fridge was dirty. Overall the room wasn’t the worst, but we spent most of our time walking instead of staying in the room.
