“Pomer cena a kvalita výborný.”

The location is great, although the road was a bit noisy, the hotel was clean and cozy, and the morning views of Lomnický štít were very pleasing; the accommodation met the purpose of hiking – we had a place to sleep, eat, and shower, the staff were helpful and kind, and it was a good base for hiking in the High Tatras (Tatranská Javorina – Kopské sedlo, Téryho chata, Bachledová dolina…); the equipment could be slightly updated, but it was not a hindrance to the stay.

The food was excellent all the time, thanks to the kitchen staff, especially the lady who delivered the food, very helpful and friendly; she also helped me when my phone was blocked. I didn't like the dust on the windows in the dining room, the beautiful tiles, but dust was everywhere, even in the room. The cleaning lady regularly took out the trash.

“Kind of compromise if no other options”

Booking last minute during peak season, the price was reasonable and the hotel offered its own parking. They kept a dinner for us when we arrived late, and the food was good—especially the soups at dinner. However, the buffet was advertised as a full service but the stock ran out quickly; if you miss the first 30 minutes of breakfast you’ll miss the eggs and omelette, and we were told it wouldn’t be restocked later. Tea and coffee cost extra outside of breakfast hours, and there was no kettle or fridge in the room. The heating was insufficient, and the hotel is far from Tatranska Lomnica—no ski bus or public transport stops nearby, so we had to drive.
