I’ve always liked staying at Holiday Inns and the place looked great, especially since it’s right near the Courtyard Marriott where I was attending an event. After an 8‑hour motorcycle ride I just wanted to check in, shower, and nap before the 7 pm Welcome party, but check‑in didn’t happen until 6:10 pm. Hannah was swamped with yelling guests, which was totally unacceptable given that check‑in starts at 4 pm. To top it off, I found a huge roach—urgh.
