Staying at The Maze feels like an experience, not just a place to sleep; the mosaics tell a rich story, the sunrise is beautiful both in view and with the birdsong, breakfast is tasty and served on the balcony, the community is welcoming, I want to return to enjoy the days without leaving, the facilities are simple yet clean and comfortable, but I wish there had been a show that night and more hooks in the room for hanging clothes or bags.

The place was just great – the maze and the mosaics were impressive, and the view was fantastic. The staff were friendly and spoke solid English, and breakfast hit the spot. The neighborhood felt safe and pleasant, and getting there was a breeze with the local van.

The hostel felt like stepping into a living piece of art – the mosaics and the Sugarloaf view are breathtaking, and the whole building constantly surprised me. It’s in a quiet, safe area and breakfast offers plenty of choices with a relaxed pace. Unfortunately the housekeeping fell short; they never changed the sheets or towels, which was a real let‑down.
