“A unique peaceful place to rest and relax”

We were drawn in by the calm vibe, the unique concept the owner is building, and the peaceful, restful setting. The outdoor area was lovely, and we especially liked being able to buy locally sourced wine and food—great for anyone who doesn’t want to travel to find a place to eat, particularly on Sundays and Mondays when most spots are closed. The selection was solid. On the downside, a bigger fridge would have helped store goodies and lunches for upcoming trips, and while a microwave is available, there were no cutlery or glasses, which can be a hassle if you plan to cook your own meals.

The idea of having hotel rooms inside a cave is really special. Behind the street wall lies a beautiful underground venue. Hugo has been the new owner for a year and is actively working to make the concept even better. I recommend staying here, especially if you combine it with a visit to Troglodytes de Rochemenier and dinner at Les Cathedrales de la Saulaire for a full experience of underground life from the past to modern recreation.

First of all… what a welcome! From the moment you enter, you feel right at home. The hosts are friendly, open, attentive, and sociable, sharing the history of their unique accommodations. It’s fascinating! They let you feel their passion. The troglodytes themselves are so well arranged, tastefully decorated—everything is there! You won’t miss anything. It’s a magical moment you can experience as a couple or with family—an original spot that will stay with you. Go for it!
