The in‑room hot spring was excellent, the bath was large. The sound‑proofing in the room was good; once the door and windows were shut, we couldn’t hear the stream outside. The service was not enthusiastic, the dinner was impressive, and they were considerate by changing the menu for repeat guests! The toilet bidet nozzle was a bit dirty. A screen on the balcony would let us ventilate while keeping mosquitoes out.

“Hot spring bath”

I was pleased with the in-room hot spring bath and the location, which was convenient for our hiking plans; I’m not sure what else is around. The dinner and breakfast were nice. The room felt very small and the bed was too soft, unlike most beds in Japan that are either too hard or just right.

“Delightful and relaxing”

The private baths were amazing and the small gardens behind them were delightful. The staff were incredibly hospitable, clear about allergies, and handled our late arrival smoothly. They worked well with our language barrier and always tried to make us feel at home.

“The natural beauty of the location drew me to the place and I hope to return in the future.”

Dinner and breakfast were excellent, and the staff were very helpful in offering alternate breakfast foods for a family member who was feeling unwell. The room was a bit smaller than I had expected, though the lounge areas were cozy, clean, and comfortable.

“Nice and relaxing break from the buzz of daily work life.”

The traditional vibe of the place and the food were great! I would have preferred a tatami‑style bed.
