If you’re looking for a hotel with sea view right in La Spezia, this isn’t it; the drive is “challenging” for a mid‑class car, but the hotel’s own parking is safe; the owner picked us up because the stairs from parking to apartment could be tough; she provided a welcome bottle of wine with our names and small touches for the first breakfast—wonderful! The nearest supermarket for daily needs is about 8 km away; any questions about restaurants or parking in La Spezia were instantly answered via WhatsApp with a link; we stayed in apartment “Pocerale,” which offers a fantastic valley view toward the sea—though you don’t actually see the sea; all other apartments only look at the courtyard or the neighboring house; for people with disabilities this place isn’t recommended because you’d have to climb stairs in the storage; we debated whether to mention anything else, but nothing came to mind—booking this house means booking warm Italian hospitality; everything is perfect—Grazie mille!

Francesa greets guests with genuine care, taking time to explain everything—from must‑see spots and parking tips to charming towns along the Ligurian Riviera. A quick chat with her reveals fascinating insights about Italian people and regions, especially her love for Napoli. The apartment is styled in traditional local décor, transporting you back in time for an authentic feel. My kids and I wondered how four days passed so quickly—it felt like a single day. The view of the Apuan Alps is breathtaking and can be enjoyed all day. Even though it was a heat wave in Italy with peak temperatures, the apartment stayed cool and comfortable. Surrounded by forest, you can even trek to Cinque Terre—just bring your hiking boots. All in all, a great experience.
