I didn’t like anything about this hotel. I can’t recommend it—filthy, staff terrible, a large group of us had four members develop enterocolitis, the owners’ car was hit, walls were grimy. I’ve stayed at four other Turkish resorts, and this one was the worst; it’s far from a 5‑star or ultra‑all‑inclusive property. The hotel is old and poorly maintained, the buffet offered only one meat dish, and the staff were neither trained nor friendly. I do not recommend it.

I liked the hotel’s location, being close to the sea, the market and the friendly staff. However, there were long food queues, the sea was dirty, and the biggest issue was food poisoning among the children. Our family of eight—my wife, son, daughter, and four grandchildren—had the daughter fall ill a day after arrival, the son three days later (he spent the last three days glued to the toilet), and later the grandson also couldn’t stay away from the bathroom. Tests showed the daughter had Norovirus G I, the son had traces of Norovirus G plus Salmonella DNA, and the grandson showed similar symptoms. It seems the hotel has serious hygiene problems. We spent a lot on the trip and now on medical bills—what a vacation.

Before my Alanya vacation, I had booked two different hotels, but after carefully reading real guest reviews, I canceled those reservations and chose Grand Kaptan Hotel. Today I can confidently say I made the right decision. First, I want to thank all the guests who gave objective and honest feedback. I’m a pediatrician, so I evaluated the hotel not just as a vacation spot but also for health, hygiene, and safety. Grand Kaptan Hotel is truly a model in hygiene. Rooms, corridors, restaurants, pools, aquapark, and all shared spaces were extremely clean. I was especially impressed by the attention given to pool hygiene: each morning the pools are meticulously cleaned, and during the day the chlorine level, pH, and water temperature are measured several times and recorded. As a doctor, I think this is crucial for guest health. Rooms are cleaned thoroughly every day, towels are changed regularly, hygiene products are replenished, and the free minibar is checked and restocked daily. The food offered in the restaurants was varied, high quality, and tasty. The service staff were always friendly, polite, and attentive, constantly following up on guests’ needs and making us feel very special. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to families with children. The kids’ pool and aquapark were very clean, the mini‑club and children’s activities were highly successful, and the daily entertaining programs for kids were a big plus. I would also like to thank Ms. Özlem, the Guest Relations Manager, for her smile, sincerity, professionalism, and solution‑oriented approach, which made our holiday unforgettable.

This hotel's location is absolute perfection - it's got a private beach with sunbeds and a beach bar, and there are plenty of options for water sports. The 'Moon bar' on the 5th floor is a real highlight, with great views and a fantastic bar. The snack bars and Vitamin bars near the pools are top-notch, and the pools themselves are always spotless. The water's even got a nice salty taste to it, which is a bonus.
