“Loved the town, not so much the Hotel”
The spot is great, the town is pretty, and just across the street is a cool wine bar that focuses on local natural, untreated bio-dynamic wines and amazing local snacks. But this tiny hotel was a real letdown. After 12 days of traveling through France and Spain, we booked Au Relais du Parc de Millevaches for two nights to relax and soak up the beautiful countryside. It sits right in the middle of a lovely old town, so I expected more. The place looks worn out; everything—from the entrance to the bathrooms—needs an upgrade. Despite the enthusiastic welcome, we felt dejected when we stepped into the dull foyer. We only ate once in the hotel and I’d rather not talk about the meal. We chose to eat at the bustling wine bar opposite instead.
