The hotel felt like a typical business hotel with no glaring faults, and although I didn’t use it, the on‑site outdoor bath at APA Hotel Kanazawa Central is reportedly accessible, yet the idea of walking back to the hotel after a soak for about five minutes feels a bit odd; the front desk staff were diligent and efficient but wore serious, unsmiling expressions, giving a stiff atmosphere, and while the location isn’t far, it sits roughly three blocks from the bustling downtown, which can be a hassle in hot summer or cold winter weather, and parking can be tricky—arriving before the 3 pm check‑in may incur extra fees, and the affiliated OVAL and Tate-machi lots are narrow, making them tough for nervous drivers.

The location was great, but after I left my luggage there they called me at night to confirm my departure time even though I’d already told them, and I wish they’d just written it down for me.
