We learned on our last day that breakfast was included, and the staff were great. However, some equipment was really dirty (fridge, toilets) and the air conditioning was the strongest we had experienced in Asia, so it felt expensive for what it was.

The staff were kind and helpful, and the rooms offered good value for money, but the hotel sits right at the busy ferry port, so it’s very loud; earplugs are a must.

Two fairly large, comfortable beds and a room that was quite spacious with two chairs. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating, driving us when requested and supplying everything we needed. The scooter provided was great and hassle‑free. The location was very convenient, letting us get from point A to point B quickly. The price matched the simple setup we had expected. The bathroom was very small, and the shower would initially be a few seconds of boiling hot water when turned on. A sign on the bathroom door insisted it always stay closed, even though there was no window. In the shower area we found spots that clearly looked moldy. The rooms were extremely hot, and the loud air‑conditioner did little to change that. The safe was broken and, as far as we understood, there was no intention to repair it, yet it is still listed in the booking description. We were greeted by a large cockroach when we entered our room; this could have been avoided if the bottom of the door had no gap for insects to crawl through. The surroundings are very noisy – many speaker announcements, sirens, loud people and barking dogs as soon as the sun rises. We also noticed that the owners kept four dogs in poor conditions: one was on a short leash tied to a chair, and three others were confined in tiny cages. We were there both morning and evening and never saw them free. The dogs in the cages whined and barked a lot, which saddened us, even though we know that animal welfare is not as emphasized here as in other countries.
