“BUEN ALOJAMIENTO PARA REUNIÓN FAMILIAR”
The island offers great diving spots, is spotless and well maintained, and we saw turtles, sharks, and a wide variety of fish. Breakfast, although not highly varied each day, and the meals and dinners were good and nicely presented. Service and attention were solid. It’s about a 45‑minute drive from Male airport. Rooms come with air conditioning, a fan, and a fridge. All cabins sit right on the beach, with cabins 1 and 2 being the best for sea views; the rest are tucked into vegetation and don’t offer a view. The round‑trip transport to the island costs over $210 per person, which feels excessive since it’s the only way to get there. Trips are often combined, so you might have to wait at the airport or leave before the island. Watch the price carefully because there’s a $12 “ecological” tax per person per night payable on arrival. Wi‑Fi is advertised but doesn’t work; we had to protest and eventually were given a shared router that we took turns using across the seven rooms. If you’re not on an all‑inclusive package, drinks (including bar water and coffee) are pricey, as are kayak rentals and boat tours. Scuba is especially expensive at $120 per dive, and they require you to do one on the beach (same price) to test the gear. Bad weather during our stay made us wish the resort had more amenities like a gym, a TV room, or a cinema (there’s no TV in the rooms).
