The rooms are large and the breakfast is quite complete, and the staff are pleasant. However, the rooms feel old‑fashioned, the furniture is patched up, the bathrooms are outdated with silicone, rust, and mold everywhere, and the bathtub is dangerously slippery.

It’s a traditional hotel that sticks to old‑fashioned values, with excellent facilities and very professional staff. The only downside is that the hotel sits up a hill, which can be a tough walk during the daytime heat, but once you’re up there the views are fantastic.

The spacious room with a balcony overlooking all of Melilla was lovely, the breakfast was excellent, and the bathroom was roomy with a double sink and bidet. The pool was delightful. The furniture is old and worn, and you have to shower in the tub—no handhold, which is risky for older guests. The marble tiles in the bathroom are uneven, so you could trip. The hotel sits on a slope but is easy to walk to from the city center. The number of loungers by the pool is somewhat limited.
