The beds were comfortable, the location was good, and the pub’s meals were great. The shower head and water pressure could be better, the soap dispensers leaked, and the toilet kept running.

I went to the hotel section to pick up my key, where a delightful lady at the desk handed me a jug of fresh, real milk—a rarity these days. That evening we dined in the hotel part and were treated to free vegetables and salads that complemented our meals, something I had never seen before and found absolutely fantastic. The room itself was large and comfortable; it wasn’t modern, but it was delightful. I didn’t notice any noise issues, and it was far enough from the pub area.

We appreciated staying in the motel while eating at the adjacent hotel, and the room itself was decent with a great bathroom and separate toilet; the bistro was busy even on Tuesday and Wednesday nights in winter, offering a good, well‑priced menu with generous portions. Apart from the bathroom, the rest of the place felt unrenovated but acceptable for the price, and a few lights were out while the heater, Wi‑Fi, and other gear worked fine.
