“Easy to use public transport on the bus and it's free.”
The location is great, and there are plenty of food options if you don’t want to cook yourself. Everything else was fine.

The spot sits close to the CBD, but it’s noisy and bustling. The facilities were filthy and the room stank; half the showers and toilets were out of order, with only plastered “out of order” signs instead of repairs. Lockers were tiny, and the staff were a mixed bag—some friendly, others extremely rude and unhelpful. It was the cheapest place in Darwin, yet given its condition and service it feels like a massive rip‑off, so I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The hostel is well‑located and pretty clean. It’s a party hostel with many backpackers, and the dinner schedule makes it hard to use the kitchen. If you’re over 30, I wouldn’t recommend it.

The hotel sits right in the heart of the city, just a few minutes' walk to the main sights and transport links. It made getting around a breeze, which was exactly what I needed.

The staff are genuinely friendly – the Irish receptionist even sorted me out when I realized I'd booked a mixed room instead of a women‑only one and there were none left, moving me to a long‑term guests' room. Showers, though, are a bit of a let‑down; the rain‑type head drenches everything and you end up with your hair soaked every time. It's quieter than Mom's hostel, but you still get a big French crowd that mostly sticks together, which is pretty typical for hostels here.
