This was our third and probably best visit to Viking Garden Hotel and the fifth in the whole Viking chain. We were pleasantly surprised by the changes that happened in the hotel, affecting both the modernization of rooms and the improvement of service. Some rooms were renovated with a complete furniture overhaul. The lobby and restaurant furnishings were also updated. The gym got a makeover too, which is very pleasing. The old amphitheater with static stands was replaced by a multifunctional space, equipped with lounge chairs during the day and tables and chairs at night for relaxing and watching shows. By the way, the lounge chairs are all new – they’re comfortable metal ones with soft backrests. The hotel grounds received a significant facelift: new landscaping, lawn and tree lighting added. Food remained good. The afternoon buffet now includes tasty desserts (meringue, pudding) in addition to the usual curabitur. The hotel’s location is already known as one of the best in Kemer, and the distance to the beach is no longer an issue because two buses run regularly, taking no more than 3 minutes. The most valuable and pleasant thing that keeps us coming back is the warm attitude toward guests and the effort to fix shortcomings. Last time we had some “questions” that were taken into account and solved by our return. We give huge thanks and a small bow to Natia Demirtas – the guest relations manager. The meeting and the subsequent friendly treatment left us with goosebumps. We’ll gladly return and recommend the hotel to friends!

The food was okay, nothing special. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had. The guide said the beach was about a 4‑minute walk away, but it actually took us around 20–25 minutes. In hot weather, that walk is extremely uncomfortable. The hotel offers a shuttle, but the schedule is very inconvenient: sometimes every 30 minutes, then every hour, and at certain times there is a gap of around two hours. Even worse, the service stops around 6 PM, which is one of the best times to swim and enjoy the sunset. The hotel itself feels very old and outdated, including the facilities. The elevator was particularly unpleasant and made us feel uneasy using it. For the price we paid, I absolutely did not feel that the hotel offered good value. Unfortunately, the experience significantly affected our holiday and even our overall impression of Kemer. We also found Kemer very tourist‑oriented, with many prices quoted in euros and noticeable differences between what tourists and locals may be charged. There were some positives, but overall this was by far the most disappointing hotel experience of our trip, and I would not stay here again.
