I mentioned the problem several times and never got a response, so it probably still isn’t fixed. Also, asking for a £250 refundable deposit feels completely out of line.

They took my money and tried to charge me more to get into the room, only giving me £20 back out of a £106 payment—disgusting. I had to sleep in my car because there was nowhere else to go.

I felt safe, but the place was very basic—no bin, incomplete cutlery set, the bed was uncomfortable and hot, and the hot tub wasn’t set up. A £250 deposit was requested with only a couple of days’ notice, which was a huge hassle while we were shopping for our wedding; we had to pay in cash. We could later pay by credit card but had to add £9. Other guests were loud and not respectful.

I booked it as a birthday getaway for my partner; he enjoyed the stay, the place was private and comfortable, just right for some alone time. A few things need a little touch‑up, but otherwise it’s good.
