“Overall not good enough experience to be back apart from the restaurant”
The location and the restaurant at Zinar Castle were fantastic. The food was excellent and the service impeccable. I stayed two nights in a premium room with complimentary spa access at the castle, but when I arrived at the spa I was told the saunas were out of order until further notice. That was disappointing since I paid for it in my package and wasn’t offered any free drink as compensation. A good sauna was available at the Forest Hotel, though there was no soap in the shower on day two. The swimming pool was rather small. The room wasn’t very clean: a long hair was left on a face towel. When the room was cleaned on the second day, a dirty glass and an empty water bottle were left behind, and a bin had not been emptied. The concept is good, but the lack of attention to detail and impersonal approach make it feel more like a three‑star hotel.
“اقامة في مكان غريب ولكن جميل”
The hotel is perched on a hill beside the castle. It’s a strange but beautiful hotel. It’s close to the airport and not far from the center (you need a car). It’s excellent for a stay after a long trip. Overall, the hotel is clean and the rooms are spacious.
“Хороший отель, но есть много нюансов”
The room was spacious, clean, and the beds and pillows were comfortable. The air‑conditioning worked well, and the breakfast was tasty and fairly varied. There was plenty of room, so even with a child it felt comfortable. Unfortunately, there were many drawbacks. The sound insulation was very poor; we could hear neighbors running, jumping, and other loud noises, even late at night. We complained at reception but never received any response. The glass partition in the shower was too short, so water splashed everywhere and the floor stayed wet. We were also surprised that there was no hair dryer—only shampoo and soap. The main curtain darkened the room reasonably, but the two small windows had no curtains or blinds, so from about five in the morning the room was very bright, which was especially inconvenient for families with children. The TV was not a Smart TV and only showed Polish channels, which is odd for a hotel that welcomes foreign tourists. The balcony was tiny and practically useless, and there was a large open passage between our balcony and the neighboring one, making it feel unsafe and lacking privacy. Our room was far from the elevator, requiring a long walk through the corridors. We liked the breakfast overall, but the selection of simple foods for children was limited; more neutral options and fruit would be appreciated. There was almost no proper kids’ area or playroom—only a small space near reception that hardly qualifies. Parking was a major issue: the hotel is far from the city center, so a car is almost essential, but the parking costs 40 zł per day. Moreover, the parking is also used by guests of events and weddings at the nearby palace, so paying does not guarantee a spot. If the hotel charges extra for parking, they should provide guaranteed or reserved spaces for guests.
I liked that it’s inside the forest, which is special. All necessities—stores, cafés, even a zoo—are within a 10‑minute drive. The paid parking is a downside. The shower is very inconvenient: the glass that sits on the bathtub blocks the water, it’s huge, and you can’t reach the tap; plus there’s no place to hang the shower, so you have to hold it while washing with one hand.
The breakfast was tasty, tidy, and clean. There were not enough room slippers.
