“Simply don’t hesitate. If we were to return to Sedona we would stay here.”

The location, service, and cleanliness were excellent. Sedona is an amazing place to visit, and staying here was the perfect synergy. The Australian Peso is very weak against the US dollar, so the cost is on the higher side, but that’s the only negative I would even consider.

“A blast”

The property is quite close to the center and other activities, the coffee is really good, and Thor is an amazing host. Parking is right next to the room.

“Simple but confortable stay”

We spent two nights at Sugar Loaf Lodge on our road trip and found it to be a genuinely pleasant stay. The lodge exudes a classic American roadside motel vibe, ideal for anyone wanting an authentic USA road‑trip feel. Its spot is spot‑on, with plenty of spots within walking distance or a short drive. We only chatted with a handful of staff, yet each person we met was warm, welcoming, and professional. The Loaf cat that greets guests in the morning adds a charming, unique touch that makes the visit even more memorable. Parking is ample and convenient, and even though we didn’t use the pool or other outdoor amenities, they looked beautiful and well kept. In short, a lovely, simple, and enjoyable time in Sedona that I’d gladly recommend to anyone seeking a relaxed, authentic road‑trip experience. The room itself was comfortable and clean overall, but a few old stains on the bedsheets—clear signs of wear rather than a cleanliness problem—could use a bit more attention, as these small details can affect the overall impression.
