The Gardens Hotel overlooks Piccadilly Gardens in central Manchester, within a 10-minute walk of Piccadilly Rail Station. Bright rooms feature wooden furnishings, satellite TV, and tea/coffee facilities. Le Jardin Restaurant serves breakfast, while the Garden's Lounge Bar offers snacks and a plasma-screen TV. Nearby attractions include Arndale Shopping Centre, theatres, bars, and MEN Arena, all within a short walking distance.

I highly recommend this place. The hotel sits in the city center, but the room was quiet and warm. The staff were lovely. Breakfast options were available and everything else was fine. The bathroom was also fairly good.

Breakfast was the only bright spot. The lady in the breakfast area was friendly, helpful, and efficient, clearing tables quickly; she was definitely the highlight of the stay. The bathroom was a complete joke. The shower behaved like it had a mind of its own, repeatedly moving upward and flooding the room, so we practically had to shower facing the wall to avoid getting soaked. It moved more than the girl in The Exorcist. The water was scaldingly hot, then abruptly cold, and the shower head kept flipping back unless you held it in place. Completely unacceptable.
