“An oasis of beauty in the heart of Spain”
We hit this gem on our cross‑country trip and stopped for a night each way; the grounds were a green oasis with lawns, flower beds, ancient trees, birds, horses, statues and a marble pool. The building itself is over 500 years old but has modern comforts like excellent air conditioning. Our rooms were historic, spacious, comfortable and beautiful. Dinner was a highlight: aperitifs on the lawn while we played petanque, followed by a three‑course al fresco meal under an old walnut tree lit by thousands of fairy lights. The setting, service and owner were charming, and the property is very pet friendly, so our dog enjoyed the freedom.
