I stayed in the town center and from our room we could see the peak of Kazbegi. Breakfast was good and the staff were friendly. The village is undergoing major road construction, which can be confusing when we hit a closed road; that’s not the hotel’s fault.

The location was excellent, and when the weather was good the scenery was beautiful. The only downside was the 20‑minute walk from the town each day, which felt like a hill‑climbing workout 😂. The owner, Giga, is handsome and speaks English very well. In the lobby hung a hand‑knit blanket made by the owner’s grandma, which was gorgeous 😻. The owner’s parents were very kind; his mom spoke a bit of English, was chatty, checked on my sleep, and brewed coffee when she wasn’t busy ☕️. His dad didn’t speak much English but quietly made coffee for me 😂. We had booked a stay without breakfast, yet in the morning we were treated to pancakes made by the owner’s mom and special Georgian buns and dumplings 😆. On our last night the owner’s family invited us to a barbecue and served a huge dinner 🥰. The best part was the owner’s dog, Bruno—super cute, polite, friendly, and eager to play every day, always wanting a pat or a head on my leg, looking at me pitifully 🥹. I’m already missing Bruno and could watch him chase birds and play with cats all day.

Everything was great, especially the staff’s hospitality and the breathtaking view. The room was clean, comfortable, spacious, and the balcony was incredible. All amenities were supplied, so there was nothing to miss. Gega—sorry if I’m misspelling—was a fantastic host, offered excellent restaurant suggestions, and helped with anything we needed. It was an amazing stay and I’d love to return. I loved everything.
