The staff’s warm manner and the effort to keep the infrastructure clean and guests comfortable is especially commendable. I can’t say if all the hostel’s accommodations are equal. My “Cabin” had good equipment and enough storage. The bed was too hard for my taste. It seemed the cabin had been renovated, but still showed signs of age and needed some repairs (for example, the toilet door wouldn’t close).

The owner is very warm and the artistic vibe of the place is charming; everything is homemade or DIY, which gives it a certain character. It isn’t luxurious, but it feels cozy. Still, the accommodation is very simple, so it may not suit everyone.

The spot is close to the Doubs and St Ursanne, the beds are comfortable, the owner is friendly, and the breakfast is basic. However, the shared showers are very dirty (arachnophobes should stay away), the mobile home’s cleanliness is only approximate, the lodging is rather run-down (moldy smell, patched faucet, no hot water at the sink or basin), only two windows have a mosquito net, the bin wasn’t emptied – a pity, because with proper upkeep it could be a charming place.

The breakfast spread was a dream for anyone who works out – plenty of yogurt, fresh fruit, muesli, a selection of excellent breads, eggs, cheese, salami and even regional butter, plus a solid cup of coffee. And if you feel like a dip, the swimming spot on the Doubs river is just a five‑minute walk away.
