“思っていたよりも古臭さを感じた。食事はそれなりに工夫されていた。”
The public bath felt relatively new and clean, but the building showed its age in several places. The front desk staff acted only as if it were a job, showing no sense of hospitality, and even when we met them early in the morning they offered no greeting.
They listened to our view preference and switched rooms for us, but the window wouldn’t open, the bath wasn’t a flowing hot‑spring, the air‑conditioner behaved oddly, and a large Chinese tour group started pounding on the door after 11 pm, waking us up and feeling scary. The yukata was too narrow for anyone big, making it unusable for heavier guests.
The location was great, and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. The food was also a highlight, with some tasty options. Unfortunately, the room had a bit of a musty smell, which was a bit of a letdown.
“料理はよかったけど、部屋のベランダは掃除がされてなかった”
Both dinner and breakfast were tasty, which was a plus, yet the room itself was only average and the balcony was littered with pieces of exterior cladding that clearly hadn’t been cleaned.
The adult dinner in the evening was extremely delicious and the scenery was spectacular, though the kids’ meals fell short compared with the adult ones—still, they were about as good as a typical family restaurant. Not having internet TV was inconvenient for families with children.
