I was really pleased with this house. Downstairs there's a double bedroom right next to the bathroom, and upstairs there are two more rooms—a twin and a double—plus another toilet. The old pictures, photos, paintings and artefacts were fascinating. The kitchen was fully equipped, though a few cobwebs and many flies were present; otherwise the kitchen and bedrooms stayed very clean and tidy. The garden was huge and we enjoyed the table tennis and goal. The spa/hot tub was broken, but that wasn’t listed in the description, so it was acceptable; fixing it would be a huge plus, especially since it’s in a lovely spot. The jacuzzi bath was popular. My teenage daughter loved the blackout blinds and stayed a mole for the week. I spent mornings outside with my coffee. The house is very private, and although a couple of properties are nearby, it isn’t overlooked and there was no noise—just peace. The only downside was that the twin room beds aren’t big; they were fine for my 13‑year‑old boys but might be too narrow or short for older teens or adults. Overall, it was a kids’ bedroom but otherwise I liked everything.

Everything was perfect. A couple of degrees warmer would have been better.
