Breakfast with a good view was perfect, and the staff who picked me up from the airport were very professional. I’ll definitely return to Ibis YIA on my next trip. The only issue was a small oversight: the coffee machine had a problem, so everything should be checked before opening.

Even though I booked an ibis, I checked in at Novotel and got upgraded to a Novotel room; the lobby was beautiful and comfortable, the room was spotless and comfy with plenty of facilities, the area was handy with lots of places to eat and a grocery store open until 11 pm right next door, and airport shuttle could be booked at the front desk with a bus every hour. The staff were very friendly and always had someone handling luggage and other needs, and the hotel showed thoughtful touches everywhere, like international power sockets; because we booked two rooms they placed us in the middle two with a door that could be opened and even delivered the keys personally. The view was great, with countryside, volcano scenery and a bit of cloud sea. Breakfast was definitely worth the money, the food was tasty, the setting was superb, and the floor‑to‑ceiling windows framed beautiful scenery—highly recommended! The price was low but everything was high‑standard.
