Nice people good location to stay nice breakfast

The location is perfect. The room was equipped with an air conditioner. The staff were very friendly. The room and bed were too small for two people, and there was no privacy from the rest of the ryad. The bathroom was functional but not always stocked with toilet paper.

Nothing! I stayed two nights in this “dar” in Rabat and, unfortunately, it was the worst lodging experience of my entire trip to Morocco, even though I traveled for almost 20 days and visited about ten cities. After making my reservation, I received no message from the manager to explain how to find the place, which was already hard to locate in the old medina. After a long journey from Tangier, I arrived and Chaima’s reception was particularly cold. She didn’t welcome me and offered neither a place to settle nor even a simple glass of water. The room was extremely basic and, in my opinion, on the verge of unsanitary. The house is very dilapidated and would need a complete renovation before it could continue to host guests. No place to store personal items, no bedside lamp, no fan, no mirror… Nothing… just a bed and a small trash bin, that’s all. I never saw the owner, only Chaima, who works casually in this dar. Several items were broken or dangerous: the toilet glasses were broken, the bathroom switch was defective and potentially hazardous, the shared bathroom was impractical and especially dirty: hair on the floor, water everywhere, the shower head was very old and the water flow was insufficient. I was also very surprised by the presence of cameras in several places of the accommodation, giving more of an impression of being monitored like in a bank than being welcomed in a guesthouse. The breakfast, served on the terrace, was extremely simple (thé mesemen and a hard‑boiled egg) and without any special attention. Chaima just asked, “Do you want to eat?” and then a plate was placed. No offer of tea or coffee, no question to see if everything was fine, no real attention given to the guest.

The hosts were very kind, the terrace was lovely, and the room and the whole place stayed spotless. The location in the medina is ideal, right next to all the sights, so I walked everywhere. I’d definitely recommend this place!

The reception service was good. However, the room wasn’t suitable for sleeping; the temperature was too high and there was no air‑conditioning. The shared bathroom was bad.
