“Frustrating.”

The view was nice, but for natural disasters they leave you completely unprepared: no extra emergency lights, no emergency kit, just a single light in the room and bathroom that lasts an hour. The staff never mentioned the power outage at night. The room itself isn’t great; you have to improvise to make it comfortable and get airflow from the AC. I asked for a fan, but they said none were available. For breakfast, you fill out a form the night before so they can prepare, which is smart to avoid waste, but the next morning they told us they ran out of the ingredients we’d requested. The staff just aren’t attentive.

The outdoor bathroom was nice, the staff were friendly, breakfast was great, and they even gave a lunch box on the arrival day. There was no Wi‑Fi, and the signal was terrible. Neighboring construction was noisy, and the price‑performance ratio was too high for what was offered.

“Creepy.”

The cliff view was nice and the older woman at reception was extremely kind. We booked three nights but only stayed one. The service was unresponsive; they only told us to turn lights off when we asked, but never replied when we reached out first. My partner had a fever and I left for medicine; when I returned after less than 30 minutes, a younger receptionist entered the room without explanation, even though we had a “do not disturb” sign. That freaked us out. There was a huge spider on top of the toilet; the room had few bugs, but the open‑air bathroom was full of them.

“Great little find. Very cosy and welcoming”

It’s a quiet spot; you’ll need a scooter to get around or walk to the main road and try for a tricycle. The owner can arrange tricycles. The cliff top offers beautiful views over clear seas—just be careful if you have kids because of the drop. The landscaping is lovely and the rooms are well decorated. The quirky shower/toilet is slightly outside but still set up wonderfully. The AC was a bit noisy, but it wasn’t a major issue.

“Oase van rust”

Finally, a spot where we felt relief as soon as we stepped in. The gorgeous garden, the lovely view, the cozy room—all matched and fully met our expectations. The huts are pretty basic but comfortable, and in the beautiful outdoor pool you feel like you’re in the jungle. It’s great to descend the cliffs and immediately swim among turtles and clownfish. The food was good, and the staff were extremely welcoming.
