The room was cute, had good facilities, and was excellently located right at the edge of the Sassi; the host was very helpful, the appliances were nice, and there was coffee in the room, plus the bathroom had a nice shower with plenty of warm water, but the room was a little dark and had poor lighting.

The host was great and we had lots of communication; the location was amazing and close to everything, as we arrived on foot, and I would stay again, but it was a little noisy for me as a light sleeper, with someone’s alarm going off in the room above us every morning and they kept hitting the snooze button.

Francesca, the owner, was incredibly kind and helpful, giving us all the parking, local spots, and food tips we needed. Even though we arrived early in the morning and the official check‑in was in the afternoon, she let us settle into our room ahead of time. The location is perfect, right next to everything, with Piazza Vittorio Veneto just across the entrance. I’d recommend this place for its spot and Francesca’s readiness. The room was spotless, super comfortable, and stocked with a wide selection of books for readers. Breakfast, included in the stay, was served at the bar; you just walk through an arch in front of the B&B’s entrance and the bar is right there on the square. Too bad we only stayed one night—definitely planning to book again for my next Matera visit.
