“A lovely 2 day break”
Right on the seafront, the apartment was lovely and large, and very comfortable. The only hiccup was that the wifi was down due to a change of internet providers, but that wasn’t a problem.

The Royal Clarence Hotel, situated opposite Burnham-on-Sea beach, offers seafront accommodations with flat-screen TVs and tea/coffee facilities. Guests enjoy far-reaching sea views from the veranda and some rooms. The hotel features two self-catering apartments and provides vending machines. Located 2 miles from M5 junction 22, it's close to Burnham and Berrow Golf Club, Cheddar Gorge, and Glastonbury Tor, with Highbridge train station nearby.

The location was great, and the place was clean and tidy. There were lots of very prescriptive signs everywhere and several advance emails asking for next of kin and time of arrival. If you’re offering a business hotel space, this feels a bit odd, and I’m sure I’ll get a negative review from the owner as all others have when making comments.

Having a fridge and microwave in the room was super handy, with milk, tea, coffee and toilet roll all stocked for self‑service; the only downside was the bed frame sticking out, making it awkward to get up.

We stayed for a short visit, and the accommodation was spot‑on; we spent our days sightseeing around Cheddar Gorge and Wells Cathedral, so the lack of a view from our room was irrelevant.
