The property sits in the heart of the old town of Gjirokaster. The room was spotless, and there was a great bar and restaurant right at its doorstep. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, doing everything they could for us.

I stayed right in the heart of the tiny village of Gjirokastër, and it was perfect for a single night. The place matched the photos and gave us enough room for four people. The bathroom was a bit cramped, especially the shower area. Above the accommodation there’s a rooftop that’s great for a drink at sunset. Breakfast was huge—maybe even too much—and the owner was very friendly and always ready to offer travel tips.

The location was very central, letting us jump straight into the old town. Because parking is tough, the chef helped us with our luggage even though we had parked farther away. The roof terrace is fantastic, offering a stunning view of the city and the mountains. The room was tiny, and the bathroom even smaller, with no shower curtain so the whole room got wet after a shower. Still, the breakfast on the terrace was great—traditional, homemade, and coffee was only available on request as a kind of Turkish coffee, but that worked for us. The family-run place is very friendly and definitely worth recommending, though the small bathroom remains a drawback.
