Staying in the middle of Gaozhuang was a treat – the place has a lot of character and the rooms felt really snug. The staff were super friendly and, even though my Chinese was limited, they were patient and pointed me toward the big temple and the night market. All in all, a convenient spot with a warm vibe.

The hotel sits right in the city centre and the garden is a nice touch. Staff went out of their way, even driving me to the bus station to sort a ticket. Nothing to complain about.

Location couldn't be better and the owner was incredibly helpful, making the stay feel like a great deal. The rooms show their age but are clean and fine for the price. I'd definitely recommend it.

Nestled in a leafy, peaceful neighbourhood just a stone's throw from the night market and the Mekong, with plenty of shops and eateries nearby. The guesthouse looks charming, our room was spotless, spacious and comfortable, and the hosts were genuinely warm, doing everything they could to make our visit pleasant. Highly recommended!

The hosts were really friendly, even calling to arrange and paying for a taxi when we left, plus they shared food and little gifts and gave great tips on where to go. The only hiccup was a sluggish Wi‑Fi, but it didn't ruin the stay.
