The manager was very helpful and friendly, the room was clean and the AC worked flawlessly, but there were no mosquito nets on the beds so we were bitten, and the Wi‑Fi did not work. The main issue was the airport transfer that was included in our booking but never provided; the on‑site manager had to check everything by phone with the owner, Ms. Angelica, who was absent for the entire stay and told us that, despite what our booking stated, we were not entitled to an airport transfer. She offered to arrange one only if we paid an additional 5,000 LKR (the same ride costs under 1,500 LKR via PickMe). We eventually agreed to take the overpriced taxi offered by the guest house, but after several unpleasant back‑and‑forth exchanges on WhatsApp, Ms. Angelica ultimately refused to provide it at all. It was a disappointing way to end an otherwise wonderful holiday in Sri Lanka, where we overwhelmingly encountered friendly, fair, and reasonable people.
