The staff were very helpful, the rooms were spacious, clean and simply furnished, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel was very close to the train station, which was convenient. We enjoyed our stay. It was a heatwave and they had left a big fan in the room, which helped with the heat. Nothing else comes to mind.

We were upgraded free of charge to a large apartment, which was a pleasant surprise. The two reception staff members carried our suitcases to the adjoining building where our accommodation was, and that was appreciated. The apartment was clean, functional and appropriate. The area is outstanding, with rail links, shops, bars, restaurants, etc., and we were sad to leave after a two‑night stay, but we will definitely return. A TV in the bedroom would have been a nice bonus after a tiring day, but that’s a minor thing.

The breakfast was nice. The room was adequate but had no air conditioning; a fan was provided. The shower was roomy. The hotel is close to the high street and restaurants, all within walking distance. The fridge is awkwardly positioned in a corner under the countertop. Be aware there is no lift and the stairs to the second floor are steep. The room got quite hot during the heatwave, and no air conditioning was available, only a fan.
