“Good stop-over for a group.”

Getting there from the road is easy and the room was perfect for a group. The doors are too low for people of European height and the stairs are a real hassle.

The interior is white, uncluttered, spacious and feels very clean, with a microwave in the room and a large desk that makes working comfortable; breakfast comes as a boxed meal you can take back to the room. However, a distinct paint smell hit us as soon as we entered, probably because the renovation is recent, and the public bath, which is open to non‑guests until 11 am, gets extremely crowded – they should consider extending its hours.

It’s perfect for a simple overnight stay, but the students using the hot spring were very noisy, misbehaving in the changing area and causing a lot of disturbance.

“温泉の泉質が良い。建物綺麗。”

The onsen water was excellent and the room felt spacious and clean, making it easy to relax. However, because the building faces a major street in town, the noise from motorcycles and trucks was noticeable, and the lack of an elevator in the converted apartment meant that on the fourth floor I had to trek up and down after the bath, which was tiring. It might work fine for a younger group staying together, but if you’re traveling with elderly companions you may want to look elsewhere.
