This downtown townhouse is just a stone’s throw from Igreja do Rosário and boasts a gorgeous panoramic view, plus the host is genuinely friendly. The only hiccups are the oddly short steps on the stairs, a cramped shower stall, and a front‑door lock that’s currently broken.

The location is solid and the reception staff, while simple, make you feel welcome. However, the curved staircase is a pain to climb and can be quite exhausting.

The owner was incredibly helpful—she gave us two extra pillows, let us stay late while we waited for our 10 pm bus, and everything from downtown to the bus terminal is within walking distance. The only drawback is that the property shows signs of wear and could use some maintenance.
