An authentic, simple Japanese lodging in a typical small town. The hotel and restaurant were very well restored and lovingly run. The food was delicious. Thank you very much. Good value for money. The hotel room had a strange, damp‑hay smell that felt odd to us Europeans.

The location is great thanks to the station and nearby restaurants, the common areas are very clean and comfortable, the host is cheerful and helpful, and we were allowed to leave our luggage after check‑out and pick it up later.

The staff were kind, but this was my first time staying in a place like this and I was still getting used to it; the walls were too thin, so I couldn’t have any conversation at all, which was a bit disappointing for a trip.
